  • Yummy Tofu!

    Tofu à braz

I will leave the amounts to your descretion :)

Tofu (cut in little squares) (or bacalhau (salted cod))
    Potatoes
A generous amount of Olive oil
    Finely chopped onions
    Eggs
    Salt & pepper
    Fresh parsley, chopped
    Black olives

Peel and cut the potatoes into long, thin sticks.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet, add the onions and fry til golden.
Add the Tofu (or flaked cod).
Add the potato sticks, previously lightly fried in oil.
    Season with salt and pepper.
Let cook for a while over a low fire, meanwhile beat the eggs in a bowl. Scramble over the Tofu (or cod) and potatoes and let cook til everything
    is set together.
Sprinkle with the chopped parsley, decorate with black olives.
Serve surrounded by lettuce leaves and tomato slices.

    Bonne apetit :)

PS. The reason why I mention Cod is because that is the original portuguese recipe, but having someone at home who became a vegetarian makes us think of variations. You can also use roast chiken left overs. It is delicious.

  • Cooking:)

A man wakes up one morning and sees his wife in the kitchen stirring one of his socks in a saucepan.
He asks: “What are you doing?”
She replies: “I’m doing what you asked me to do last night when you came to bed drunk”.

    The man says:
    - “I don’t remember asking you to cook my sock!”.

Apart from that got more good news from Portugal...

And the wine is a bit strong, but with a bit of ice "drinkable"

I may join my sweety now and do a bit of painting...maybe

  • What's your Style?

Some people ask me what style of painting I like doing. And the answer is I don't know. Being an Art teacher hiddens my real vocation. Fact is I can do a bit of everything.

    So my question is:
What's your style? What do you prefer?

If you were to buy a painting to put on your living room, what would you buy?

Realistically There are so many great Art works that I would NEVER hang on my walls, although I appreciate their value.

    So what about you?

  • Commissions

    Well, Summer is here....*ahem*....
And because my hours of work are reduced to almost nill, I'm painting... a bit more.
I'm working on comissions and I will keep changing the header of my blog to show some of my work.
    Any orders are welcome:)
But mainly I'm doing it because I don't have anything better to do...well...the pile of clothes (landry you call it :)))is growing substantially on my bed, but that's not relevant, is it?
I also organised a painting day out for this Thursday, thus I need all the Gods help to stop the bloody rain.

  • Mizaberry

After realising Nick's header was an art work made by AJ, I asked him to make me something as well.
And I love it! I mean Who wouldn't want this glorious body;)

But when I put it on my blog header, I didn't feel confortable, a bit too much of a show of.:>>
Anyway, thanks a lot, I'll keep it for another ocasion;)

In the meantime, I decided to exhibit my paintings:)
