I was here reading old nick and Ms F post about their day trip to the zoo...and feeling jealous because I have no kids to take to the zoo...and I just remembered last time I went on this little train, that goes round the park...It was a few years ago...
I asked for 3 tickets,please.
and the lady said:
How many children?
and I went...oh we are all adults!!

I actually do that...friends of mine who have young children, I take them out on adventures (movies, dinner and so on).

i haven't been to the zoo in years...the last time was memorable and amusing for the naughty things the monkeys were doing with each other!

I got no children too. But I do have two nieces and a godson. Not equivalent but virtual yes. Occasional help at school lessons, presents at birthdays give the illusion of something intimate.

Tell you what, one day you could join us somewhere when we take Sarah to a zoo or a park.
Hey wait a minute, what a great business idea, hire out a cute child (under parental supervision of course) to people who lack an excuse to go and watch monkeys playing with their private parts after riding around on a train/tractor pretending to be a train!
It could be a winner!
