Thanks for the support Mara. I know I will, but I'm a taurean, you see, we are not very keen on changes. I'll have to dedicate more time to my paintings and try to sell them...at least during the summer :-)

We do have cahcaca but usually just drink it with ice and lime and sugar. We will try your recipe.

It's okay, Mrs F, I'm fine. I will find another job, I'm just having mixed feelings, because apart from all the moaning and that, I love my job, and I love mature students. They are studying because they want to, not because they have to.

I forgot to mention , you have to SHAKE or BLEND the drink!! :-)

Yeah Lecturing is a small part of my job (big part of my marriage _ Joke ). I prefer to lecture to older people too. I do not want to teach compulsory subjects to any one I like to teach to people who want to know about the subject.

Yeah, it was a challenge having this particular group of 16's, because half of them are there only to get the EMA, and because they didn't have grades to go on a different course. That means the other half, the students who like the subject and know what they want to do, don't get the attention they deserve. But I did definitely learn something.

Basically.

Excuse the lack of class, but one has been imbibing various glasses of stuff for a few hours and playing guitar, so have only just caught up with this post.

I hope you find another job (if you want to) teaching art soon. I always loved art at school which is probably why I went on to study "graphics" at college when I left.

All of which rubbish is of no help to you but...

Yes, funding (or lack of it) is the word these days.I will find a job, eventually...and if not, well, if you go to Cornwall and see a sexy lady painting and selling paintings in the beach...that will probabbly be me...ha ha ha

Or maybe I should "rethink" the location...too many astists in Cornwall already...what do you think? :-)

Yeah, I can sell stuff on ebay, for now, my house needs decluttering anyway .Lol
I paint everything, but for some reason,most of my paintings are landscapes....didn't plan that. There are a few things on my media...I'll post more, soon.

Sorry that you had such bad news, dear! But you're good, I'll bet anything that you're most popular among your students - and you'll be even greater in a new job!

Don't give up, continue to look for an alternative - and who knows, maybe you'll soon become the best female painter in the universe, and we all can say that we've known you (somewhat)! *LOL*
