I'm home! And I will only go back to work on the 3th of January. There's something good about being a teacher after all.So, I'm switching off, and planning a good night out.Tomorrow I'm going shopping, but who cares about the crowds?? I have all day !Just hope to find a parking space, or maybe I'll take the bus for a change. So we've decided to go out. The girls were going out as well,my fifteen year old daughter had a birthday party to go, my eldest was going to a gig. I took a shower, got ready, you know how girls are to get ready, don't you? Hair, makeup, deciding what to wear...After 2 hours(not too bad,hein?) I was ready and feeling gorgeous. So there we go, get in the car, drive to the casino, find a parking place(very rare indeed) and the mobile rings. It was one of my baby daughter's friend.
Hi, Maria? can you please pick up Alex? She's not well.
Okay, I'm on my way!
Mobile rings again.
Mom? I'm fine, pick me up at 1 please, they are just jealous.
Alex!!! why would they ring , are u okay? I'm on my way with dad to pick u up!!
Okay, then, she said.
As I arrive in front of the pub, I can see this woman trying to keep the teenagers inside, and there was Alex, as drunk as wetever, my 15 year old baby!! I bring her home and help her to go upstairs, as she can barely stand up, she "flaps" to bed, 3 segunds and she's in a deep sleep.
Great, now i'm thinking, what should i do to her tomorrow?? I don't have conversations with drunk people, because that would be silly,but i guess, i have to do somkething, right? I'm an easy going person, hate punishments, but still, this is not right,is it??

Tomorrow is friday again and I have a class of teenagers waiting for me.Some lovely students but some of them know how to be a pain in the ass.I teach adults all week, and they are so nice to work with.Motivated, interested,excited about art, which makes me feel good. They love having me as a teacher, and I love the fact that they make me love my job.That's great!!
But life isn't perfect, is it?
Tomorrow I have this class of 17/18 years old, the future of the country,and although I am supposed to and I treat them as adults,there's a bunch of them who are as immature as a 5 year old child. And it's Friday!! I'm tired and I just feel like I wanna stay home.
Why do we have to work fridays, why??

I won a competition !! two tickets to see swan lake on ice. I was so made up yesterday, when I opened the door,after a long day at work, the girls gave the news. Mom a woman called saying you won 2 tickets.
Hurray, I mean I know it's not like I won the lottery, or anything BUT, I never win anything , NEVER!!!
So, me and my baby daughter went to the theatre tonight.
And oh my God, it was so beautiful,the dancers are unbelivable.They look like fairies, make the show look so natural , like it's so easy do dance ballet on ice. Great talents, Fantastic!!

So, I'm bored with my graduation picture ( i told you I get bored very easily). I was looking for another pic and found this. I had such a good time with some friends last year in Edimburg.
We pissed ourselves laughing taking pictures all dressed up.

Yesterday I saw this gorgeous photo of a sunset in Dubai, in a travel magazine, and I thought: I have to paint this.
So at around midnight, instead of going to bed, I had this click: do it! now!
and so I did, I haven't been feeling any inspiration for a long time, but as I was alone in the room, put the brasilian music channel on sky, and that was when all hapenned!
3 o'clock in the morning, ten cigarettes later, and it was finished!

And I can't stop staring at my last baby! I love it!

I confess that living in England took all my artistic inspiration away, so I think I found the secret, listen to brasilian music!

Last night before going to bed, my baby daughter shows me a big lump on her chest. I thought, maybe she hurt herself in the gim...but you never know, so I toke her to hospital. Only 3 kids awaiting to be seen, so we thought,it was not going to be a long waiting. tsc tsc tsc..wrong! We stayed there till 4 o'clock in the morning! hurray..moms complaining and swearing, babies crying,babies coughing, a young girl come with blood on her face ( fell out the bed!! ). Anyway we had time to observe the brand new beautiful paints on the wall, count the bubbles ( it's an undersea huge mural full of bubbles),then we were called to go in.:p For what? to wait again ...so there was a cupboard with games, and we found a big pocahontas puzzle, and we completed it !!!well there were two pieces missing...
I was starving, tired, after a long working day,and finally this young lady doctor comes!
She checks my daughter lump( bump) for a while, asks a few questions and goes:
Doc- Oh I don't know what it is.It can be an inflamation, take paracetamol.

( I want to say something here, altough i'm a pacifist and i can't kill a fly, if i'm told one more time by a DOCTOR to take paracetamol, you may have to visit me in prison

Me- I was hoping for an x-ray?

Doc- Oh we can't do x-ray during the night, you'll have to come back tomorrow.But it looks like it's nothing to worry.

Okay, she doesn't know what it is, but, hey, don't worry!

Me- My other daughter also had a lump in her neck a while ago, and she was told it could be dandruff, but it turned out to be a tumor!!!

Doctor looks at me with open eyes, and changes her mind. She checks my little girl from head to feet, keeps poking the girl and asking: does it hurt? Even if I didn't have anything if you press your fingers down that hard ,it will definetly hurt, doc!!!

She still didn't know what it was.
Doc- Come back tomorrow earlier to have an x-ray done.
Tomorrow morning???
Do you mean in about 3 hours??
We could have stayed and make another puzzle, why not??

Anyway,that was my lovely night...NHS really sucks

Before you call me a show off, because of my picture, let me tell you something.After spending 35 years of my life speaking portuguese, and at the age of 41, I got a Diploma from an English University! And I am proud of myself, so I'll just keep my photo here till I get bored.

Okay, I really feel like I'm writing to myself, as I have no friends on this thing, but, as this is just a kind of a test...watever!
I also, have no idea why I'm doing this, as I am quite busy, but then again, like my ex-boss used to say, the more you do , the more time you find to do more stuff. It's all about time management ,bla,bla,bla. Anyway, I'll just finish this and see if it works.
